Welcome!

A young man with light skin, blue eyes, light brown hair, and a mustache, wearing a dark baseball cap, wireless earbuds, and a brown shirt, smiling at the camera.

I’m Jack, an early childhood leader and teacher based in Melbourne, Australia. I’ve worked in the early childhood sector for over a decade as an educator, teacher, leader and manager.

My philosophy

The decade I’ve spent working with young children, and the professional and personal experiences I’ve had along the way, have all shaped my view of early childhood education.

My approach is rooted in the belief that:

  • the first five years of life are a critical time for development, but also for joy, connection, and wellbeing

  • relationships, intentionality and care set the foundation for quality

  • children deserve beautiful, interesting, loved environments to learn and grow

  • you don’t have to reinvent the wheel - some of the best ideas and approaches are already there, you just have to find them

“If children feel safe, they can take risks, ask questions, make mistakes, learn to trust, share their feelings, and grow.”
